On the Refugee Highway
With Tom Albinson
Any guesses what this is?
Some see a bracelet. They’re right.
Some see a piece of art created by refugees. They’re right.
Some see fabric from a life vest worn by refugees as they made the desperate and dangerous journey from Turkey to Greece. They’re right.
Some see a sign that all is not well in a world in which around 30,000 people are forcibly displaced every day – a world that sees these women, children and men as a threat to their well-being rather than as neighbors in need of refuge. They’re right.
Some see it a a sign that the world is unable to save itself and is in desperate need of divine rescue. They’re right.
